Curlews

Both sexes are the same with long legs, brown upper-parts, white rump and its distinctive long down-curved bill. The biggest wader in the United Kingdom, it breeds on damp moorland and pasture, but for the rest of the year can be found around the whole of the coast on mudflats and estuaries.
